Doug Law
Sandman and King of the Castle.Doug Law is a Scottish artist and sculptor. His sand sculptures have astounded people from Abu Dhabi to San Diego to Allendale. He now lives in Northumberland. He generally completes a sculpture in 10 hours or more, using 2-10 tons of ordinary builders sand, a shovel, his trusty magic knife, a paint brush, buckets of water and a plasterer's float.

Doug digs music and Doug dug the musicians
Some of the examples of his work were created for country fairs, seaside holiday promotions, supermarket openings and international exhibitions.While working he generally consumes a packet of jelly babies and one banana. This diet is not essential for sand sculpting, but is for Doug.
Doug will always consider commissions if vast sums of money are involved, or even reasonable sums and some jelly babies. He will provide his own banana.
