Doug teaches sand sculpture and works in other media. He began his sand sculpting twenty-five years ago while working as a professional musician in the Middle East. He still plays for weddings, funerals, and private parties but is rarely asked to political events because of his love of bananas. He doesn't blow his own trumpet, but does make wonderful music on banjo, mandolin or guitar and enjoys a good jam session. He does not use jam to hold the sand together - just his magical art..
